I personally prefer organic non chemical types of treatments on my critters and have found that NEEM OIL works better than most chemical treatments for a multitude of problems. Originally from India the oil pressed from the Neem tree seeds is a very effective anti -flea, tick and mosquito repellent, not only for the dog and cat but is perfectly safe for humans as well.

Usually you can only find it in health stores or online but if you give it a try, you and your pet might like the non industrial chemical scent and effect. Also found that Neem powder mixed with a dollop of butter and fed to them is a very effective anti parasitic as well.
